Survey Operations
Overview
The Survey Operations Group provides two primary divisions of support and services. The first division that this group is responsible for consists of establishing project-specific geodetic control, placement and survey of aerial photography ground control, and applications involving specialized field techniques and equipment. This includes use of GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers, high accuracy leveling equipment, and such items as reflectorless measurement systems. The second division that this group is responsible for consists of establishing policy and procedures for the agency and contracted survey work, establishing contract survey specifications, and providing technical support in the use of survey equipment and software necessary for the day to day duties of the region surveyors.
