NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) station KZZ-73 provides weather information and forecasts for Southeast Washington. Counties in the broadcast area include Columbia and Garfield.

Dayton NWR originates from NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton and transmits on a frequency of 162.525 MHz from Dewey Road east of Dayton using facilities provided by Columbia County. Additional funding for Dayton NWR was provided by the U. S. Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service.

The Dayton NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter is located at Dewey Road, Washington at an elevation of 3151 feet.
