GET INVOLVED IN DIABETES RESEARCH

• The Joslin 50-Year Medalist Study
• Study testing a drug called Abatacept, to try to interrupt the autoimmune attack that is present in people at the onset of type 1 diabetes, to see if they can continue to make some of their own insulin.
• The Tolerance Study: a new study to better understand what causes type 1 diabetes to help find new ways to prevent or reverse the disease.
• TrialNet: Volunteers Needed to Help Study the Development, Prevention and Early Treatment of Type 1 Diabetes
• TINSAL-T2D: Seeking volunteers ages 18-75 with type 2 diabetes using oral medication or diet and exercise, who are not well controlled, for a research study that is looking to see the effect on blood sugar control of an investigational medication.
