Objective:
To control Asian soybean rust using new approaches including molecular biology and gene transformation techniques.

Approach:
To identify soybean and Asian soybean rust (ASR) genes at the site of infection and at certain stages in the life cycle of ASR in susceptible and resistant reactions and to confirm their expression in specific cells at specific times.
