- Section 503c of title 10 U.S.C. ("Access to Secondary Schools"),
commonly referred to as the "Hutchinson Amendment,"
articulates the provisions of the law governing recruiter access
to high school students and access to student directory information

- Section 9528 ("Armed Forces Recruiter Access to Students
and Student Recruiting Information") of the Elementary
and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. § 7908),
as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001 (P.L.
107-110), stipulates the same requirements as the Hutchinson
Amendment regarding recruiter access to high school students
