Nancy Soto is a 1985 graduate of The College of New Rochelle with a degree in Biochemistry. She worked as a Genetic Research Assistant for 5 years at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the field of Genetic Research. And as a Clinical Information Associate for Revlon Pharmaceuticals doing studies on Hypertension.
Past 12 Years as a Medical Administrator in Internal Medicine. Spanish Instructor at Berdan Institute for Medical personnel . The course was designed to bridge the gap between providers and patients by teaching them "survival Spanish" to ease communication between the non-English speaking sector and care givers.
Through out the last 9 years she has been involved in community service for the HIV/AIDS population by collecting and donating necessary item to Shelters, participating in NJWAN programs. Writing articles for ACRIA. Becoming a spokesperson and guest speaker for NLHN (National Latina Health Network). She continues to provide a voice for the Latina Woman as well as all Women of Color as an educator on prevention and survival.
Currently Ms. Soto is working on the development of LATINAHIV.Org which will provide disease specific information for the Latina woman in Spanish as well as English through the web and print media. The foundation is also hoping to obtain Financial Resources that will allow it to help newly diagnosed women and their children deal with the impact the disease brings to their life normally in the form of Domestic Violence and OWH Homelessness.
