RRM Module: Housekeeping

Overview
The RRM Housekeeping staffing module estimates the requirements for housekeeper/janitor supervisors and housekeeper/janitors to collect trash, process, repair, and distribute clean linen, and perform routine facility cleaning. The workload parameters that are the key variables in the staffing estimation are Average Daily Patient Load and Square Meters of Facility Space.

Services Description:
The housekeeping staff:

  • Collects and processes soiled linen
  • Collects trash,
  • Processes, repairs and distributes clean linen, and
  • Performs routine facility cleaning.

    Staffing Criteria:
    Fixed Hospital Housekeeper/Janitorial staff of 2.00 FTE for each hospital, plus 1.0 FTE Housekeeper/Janitorial Supervisor, plus 1.00 FTE Housekeeper/Janitorial staff for every 7 ADPL up to 21 ADPL then 1 FTE for every 10 ADPL, plus 1.00 FTE Housekeeper/Janitorial staff per 1000 square meters of facility space.

    Fixed Housekeeper/Janitorial Supervisor staff of 1.00 FTE (for each facility) plus, Housekeeper/Janitorial staff of 1.00 FTE staff per 1,000 square meters of facility space.
