RRM Module: Mental Health

Overview:
The RRM Mental Health staffing module estimates the requirements for mental health staff to serve individuals with problems of alcohol and substance abuse, suicide, maternal and child health, family relations, mental retardation, and others. The mental health professionals serve as resource persons coordinating agency services and developing programs and facilities as well as conducting educational and training programs. The workload parameter that is the key variable in the staffing estimation is User Population.

Services Description:
Mental Health services are designed to serve individuals with efforts focused on problems of alcohol and substance abuse, suicide, maternal and child health, family relations, mental retardation, and others. Professionals serve as resource persons coordinating agency services and developing programs and facilities as well as conducting educational and training programs.

Staffing Criteria:
0.50 FTE Mental Health staff for 1,000 or more User Population, plus 0.50 FTEs Mental Health staff for every 1,000 User Population above 1,000. (Note: If the User Population is below 1000 the are no FTEs.)

INPATIENT

0.10 FTE Mental Health staff for every 3 ADPL.
