RRM Module: Central Supply

Overview:
The RRM Central Supply staffing module is a new module that estimates the requirements for central supply staff and medical supply technicians to provide purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution services for medical supplies. The workload parameter that is the key variable in the staffing estimation is the number of nursing units and the presence of operating room services.

Services Description:
Central supply staff perform purchasing, receiving, and distribution (inventory control) of medical supplies.

Staffing Criteria:
Fixed Central Supply staff of 0.67 FTEs for each facility, plus 0.67 FTEs Central Supply staff for each nursing unit.

1.00 FTE Medical Technician staff if operating room services are provided.
