The City of Shoreline was recently named "Best Neighborhood" again by Seattle Magazine!

Located amid the natural beauty of Western Washington 15 miles north of downtown Seattle, the City of Shoreline combines urban opportunities with suburban convenience and comfort. Shoreline was recognized for its rich history, abundant and spectacular parks, strong neighborhoods, a highly-respected school district, housing affordability, good commute times and vibrant business community. With nearly 53,000 residents, Shoreline is Washington's 15th largest city.

What's New in Shoreline

What's Your Vision for Shoreline?
To maintain Shoreline's quality of life in the coming decades, the City Council is developing a Vision for the future. Since the Vision will be adopted into the Comprehensive Plan and will guide Shoreline's growth and development for years to come, it is vitally important that every resident participates in the beginning of this process: a Community Conversation about Shoreline's future.

93 Percent of Residents Rate Shoreline an "Excellent" Place to Live
According to the 2008 Citizen Satisfaction Survey, 93 percent of residents consider Shoreline an excellent or good place to live. Every other year, the City of Shoreline conducts a random sampling survey to measure public perception of the City and its services. In addition to measuring citizens' level of satisfaction with services, the survey helps determine priorities for the community as part of the City's ongoing strategic planning and budgetary processes.

Don't Miss Receiving Your Economic Stimulus Payment
More than 1,000 Shoreline residents have not received their Economic Stimulus Payment this year. Individuals must file a 2007 tax return to receive payment even if they have no regular filing requirement. The filing deadline is October 15.
