Emergency Preparedness

Additional Information

Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT)

CERT volunteers are trained in disaster preparedness, fire suppression, basic disaster medical services, light search and rescue, team organization, and protection against terrorist threats.  CERT members act as an extension of first responder services by offering immediate help to victims until professional services arrive.

The Vancouver Fire Department is proud to support the development and training of a grassroots group of citizens who are committed to responsible preparation for community emergencies.

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. to learn more about the CERT program. We meet at VFD headquarters, 7110 NE 63rd Street, Vancouver.
