2000
Citizens Telecommunications Company of North Dakota was created when Citizens
purchased a number of exchanges from Qwest Corporation on 10/31/2000 in North Dakota. The exchanges that were purchased from Qwest Corporation created a new
operating company/study areas (CTND). Note: Reporting year 2002 will be
the first year that data will be filed for Citizens Telecommunications Company
of North Dakota.

2002
On 10/31/2002 Citizens Communications sold to three different companies approximately
4000 telephone access lines of Citizens Telecommunications Company of North Dakota which included a number of exchanges. The three companies were Dickey Rural
Access, Inc., Red River Telecom, Inc., and Polar Telecommunications, Inc.
2003
On 4/01/2003 Citizens Communications sold the remaining telephone access lines
(approximately 11,000) of Citizens Telecommunications Company of North Dakota, which consisted of a number of exchanges. These exchanges were sold to
Reservation Telephone Cooperative and Missouri Valley Communications, Inc.
