INTRODUCTION

This is the status report on written Partnership Agreements. Information received through 5/12/00 reflect there are 171 Partnership Agreements which have been signed between FDA and various state/local regulatory agencies, associations, industry and academia. "Food Safety Task Force" (FSTF) partnerships are reported separately. All partnerships remain in active status until written notification is received they have formally ended and that they will no longer be extended or renewed.

The information on page two deals with the "Number of Partnership Agreements" that cover various areas of work to be accomplished by FDA and the state/local regulatory agencies and organizations under these agreements. The total number in the Partnership Agreements column (page 2) will normally exceed the actual number of Partnership Agreements reported because a particular agreement often covers more than one area of work.

The Partnership Agreements all have specific goals to be obtained in the various areas of work. Attached is a list of these Partnership Agreements which includes the planned goals.
