Pass Sales Information

Metro is distributing ORCA cards

SEPTEMBER 2009 Passes are available for purchase.

- Metro Transit has discontinued the sale of its Visitor Pass effective January 1, 2009. Visitor Passes are no longer accepted as payment of fare on any service.

- Metro’s online Pass Sales page has a new web address. The address is buypass.kingcounty.gov/ Please update your bookmarks or favorites.

- Your order will be processed and mailed within three business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) from the date we receive the order. You should receive your order within one week unless you select express delivery. Please call 206-263-3582 (TTY 206-684-2029) or e-mail OnlineSales@kingcounty.gov if you have any questions or do not receive your order in a timely manner.

- PugetPass - Regional bus and train travel on Metro in King County, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit, Everett Transit and on Community Transit in Snohomish County

PugetPass customers, visit the new regional ORCA website [external link] to order your card and the product you want to load on it.

- Transit Ticketbooks - Prepaid tickets for travel on Metro buses

Ticketbook customers, please consider ordering an ORCA card with E-purse value. E-Purse is an electronic purse that holds stored value and is used just like cash or tickets to pay your fare. The fare for your ride will be deducted from your E-purse balance. You can also set the card up to Autoload when the balance falls below zero.

- VanPool/Transit pass - Metro-only bus travel by Metro VanPool riders

VanPool pass customers, visit the new regional ORCA website [external link] to order your card and the product you want to load on it.

- Reduced Fare Sticker - Turns a valid Regional Reduced Fare Permit into a Metro bus pass

Annual RRFP stickers will not be sold beyond May 15, 2009.

Customers who normally purchase Regional Reduced Fare stickers, place your order here. You will receive more information about how to convert to an ORCA card in the future.

- Ship-to-Shore pass - Combined transit and ferry travel on selected Washington State Ferry routes and connecting transit systems

Washington State Ferry pass customers, visit the new regional ORCA website [external link] to order your card and the product you want to load on it.

- Access Transportation pass - Bus and van travel by Metro's ADA Paratransit Program (also referred to as Access Transportation) registrants

Customers who normally purchase Access passes or Regional Reduced Fare stickers, place your order here. You will receive more information about how to convert to an ORCA card in the future.

- Gift Certificates - redeem for any pass or ticketbook item
