    Networking
At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Demonstrate skills and techniques for effective communication among peers and business associates.
  • Set up ways to stay in touch with ELDP relationships.
Monday Afternoon   1:00 PM - 5:00 PM with 15 minute break
    Partnerships, Collaborations, and Alliances
At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Explain the basic features of a partnership, collaboration, and alliance.
  • Describe what steps are needed to form effective partnerships, collaborations, and alliances.
  • Discuss synergy in relation to partnerships, collaborations, and alliances.
  • Describe the barriers and support, which exist and need to be considered when dealing with adversarial issues among I/T/Us.

Monday Evening

Tuesday All Day      8:00 AM - 11:30 AM with 15 minute break
                                  1:00 PM - 5:00 PM with 15 minute break

    Conflict Resolution
At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Define the stage of conflict resolution.
  • Identify hidden agenda.
  • Focus on the issue and not the individuals. 
  • Define issues and put them on the table.
  • Demonstrate how to resolve the conflict and move on.
  • Use the win-win approach to resolving conflict.
  • Understand their own feelings with conflict.
  • Discuss how conflict can be a growth opportunity.
  • Describe the impact of culture (IHS, healthcare, ethnicity) in conflict resolution.

Wednesday Morning     8:00 AM - 11:30 AM with 15 minute break
    Negotiations
At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Know their own negotiation style.
  • Describe and distinguish between facts and emotions.
  • Demonstrate effective and appropriate negotiation techniques.
  • Define the other person's position.
  • Discuss how to get there from here.
  • Explain the use of negotiations within the context of healthcare.
  • Describe the impor6tance and affect of culture on negotiation.

Wednesday Afternoon    1:00 PM - 5:00 PM with 15 minute break
    Executive Communications
    
At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Write with clarity, purpose, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrate effective presentation skills.
  • Show how to give and receive feedback.
  • Discuss the elements of good coaching skills.
  • Know what it means to mentor.
  • Demonstrate how to empower others.
  • Demonstrate how to be an effective listener.
  • Make a presentation to senior level executives that are effective.

Thursday Morning     8:00 AM - 12:00 PM with 15 minute break

Thursday Afternoon   1:00 PM - 5:00 PM with 15 minute break
    Stress Management

At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Describe how to prevent burnout.
  • Describe how to balance one's life.
  • Differentiate between imposterships, fake it till you make it, and authentic leadership behaviors.
  • Describe viable options to contend with insecurity and loneliness in leadership positions.
  • Understand the importance of professional manner and etiquette in the work place.

Friday Morning      8:00 AM- 12:00 PM with 15 minute break
    Visionary Strategic Planning
At the completion of this unit, participants will be able to:
  • Craft a vision and mission statement.
  • Lead staff using motivational and inspirational techniques through a visionary strategic planning session.
  • Analyze organizational capabilities, limitations, and key opportunities.
  • Design an action plan to present to senior level executives.
  • Develop a personal action plan to continue leadership and personal development.

Friday Afternoon      12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
    Closing Session
