This hearing will highlight challenges faced by the Department of Homeland Security in modernizing its financial management systems. Specifically, it will examine the continuing problems highlighted by GAO in its forthcoming report “Department-wide Integrated Financial Management Systems Remain a Challenge,” which will be released the day of the hearing. It will also address progress made by the department in putting into place the financial management systems and processes needed to support its mission and operations. |
