If you are an employee, you should not use the OPM addresses contained
in this pamphlet. OPM does not have access to your personnel records.

The Federal Employees' Retirement System (FERS) retirement
package is made up of benefits from three sources. You may be entitled to benefits from:
The Social Security Administration
You should go to your local social security
district office to obtain
information about your eligibility for and amount of these benefits.
The Social Security Administration has a toll-free telephone number
which should be listed in your local telephone directory.
The Thrift Savings Plan
You should contact the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board for
