Emergency Operations Branch

The Emergency Operations Branch includes the AEOC Manager, the APHIS Information Security Specialist, the Agency Continuity of Operations (COOP) Coordinator, an information technology specialist, and a staff assistant. This branch carries out the following tasks:
  • Management and facility support of the AEOC;
  • Facility support of the Raleigh and Ft. Collins emergency operations centers;
  • Assurance of interoperability and readiness levels at all Agency emergency operations centers;
  • Training, testing, and exercises on emergency management and COOP responsibilities;
  • Provide classified information security guidance to the Agency; and
  • Provide Agency-wide COOP coordination and maintenance.
