Regional After Action Report/Improvement Plan
Thank you to all that participated in Sound Shake ’08, players, exercise staff, evaluators, subject matter experts, everyone’s contribution helped make the exercise a regional success. Please find the Regional After Action Report/Improvement Plan here for your benefit.
Project Updates and Timeline
Sound Shake '08 Mission Accomplished. On March 5, 2008 over 500 participants throughout the Region participated in an all day functional exercise. The greatest success from the exercise was the regional collaboration and coordination in response to a regional catastrophic disaster. The lessons learned and areas for improvement are still being gathered, but it is clear this exercise was a great opportunity to test plans and procedures and identify topics for further discussion and action. The Regional Exercise After Action Report/Improvement Plan is expected to be complete and posted to this website by May 1, 2008. Thank you to all who participated and assisted in making this such a successful effort.

Overview
Some magnitude earthquake occurs nearly every day here in the Puget Sound region, yet the last large scale earthquake exercise was nearly 10 years ago. With this in mind, the Seattle UASI Area (comprised of King, Pierce, Snohomish Counties, City of Seattle and City of Bellevue) obtained a grant to develop and execute a Seattle Fault Catastrophic Earthquake exercise. |
