The public comment period for the draft State of Alaska Plan to Reduce and Prevent Underage Drinking closed May 23, 2008.  Across Alaska, 22 communities held town hall meetings to gather comments on the plan. Many more comments were sent in by interest groups and individual citizens. The Alaska Committee to Prevention Underage Drinking and Behavioral Health staff are now processing the feedback and will be making revisions to the Plan based on the wealth of thoughtful comments and insight.

A final Alaska Plan to Reduce and Prevent Underage Drinking will be ready for release in early fall.  For questions or additional information contact Tony Piper, Associate Coordinator at 907-269-3781.
