Description

Changes in the cervix are often caused by a virus called human papilloma virus (HPV). A test to check for HPV can now be done at the same time as the Pap test. This document has answers to questions women may ask about the Pap and HPV tests and discusses the difference between a Pap test and an HPV test, what to do if you find out you have HPV, how women can get HPV, how to talk to your partner about HPV, and more.
