FAQ
IndexCat -- Author with Multiple Initials

Question:  How can I find authors with multiple initials?
Answer:

Search authors with multiple initials with spaces between the initials. IndexCat initials have periods and spaces after them and require you to input the space.

This rule is true for books as well as journal articles.

If you do not find a book author by a full first name search, try a search using only the First Initial. Many book entries have initials since this is the only information on the title page of the work.

Example:
Quick search: "armstrong g e"
