Junior Ranger Program - To be a Grand Canyon National Park Junior Ranger is a very special privilege and honor. After completing your Activity Booklet and attending a ranger program, you receive a certificate, get sworn in as a Junior Ranger, and get to wear a badge just like Park Rangers wear. 

View Current Ranger Program Schedules - This link will show you the current schedule of Interpetive Ranger programs. Throughout the year kids can attend any of these programs to fulfill their Junior Ranger Requirements. 

Educational Programs are available for teachers and students during the school year.  Send the Environmental Education Branch an email with questions or for more information on on the Junior Ranger Program.

Within the Grand Canyon, the rugged, V-shaped Inner Gorge rises darkly from the Colorado River. The broad shelf above it is the Tonto Platform, which spreads like a green blanket across both sides of the canyon. the Inner Gorge achieves a depth of over 1200 feet (366m)
