ESL/CivicsLink-- a professional development site for adult ESL teachers, created with a 2 year grant from OVAE-- is now being managed by KET, a statewide PBS network in Kentucky. KET plans to launch ESL/CivicsLink early in 2004 on the Web and to sell program, state and individual licenses. Project CONNECT--funded by the Learning Anyplace, Anytime Program in FIPSE, is in its final year of development and is being extensively pilot tested. The website offers listening, reading, writing and basic computer skills practice for intermediate level adult learners. It is designed as a supplement to classroom instruction and adaptable for distance learning. Project CONNECT will become available in the summer of 2004.
