NASA Invites Local Media To Robert H. Goddard Memorial Symposium

Top officials from NASA, NOAA, universities and private industry are featured speakers on a variety of topics at the 44th Annual Robert H. Goddard Memorial Symposium, to be held at the Greenbelt Marriott, Greenbelt, Md., on March 14 and 15.
In the 80 years since Robert H. Goddard launched the first liquid fueled rocket on March 16, 1926, we have seen dramatic technological advances, engineering achievements and scientific discoveries. The Vision for Space Exploration challenges our capabilities as a spacefaring nation to live and work on the moon, and continue onward to Mars and beyond. This yearís symposium will feature discussions of the architecture and systems, engineering and technology, science, and the challenges of human and robotic exploration of space.
NASA Administrator Michael Griffin will present the first dayís keynote address and John Marburger, III, Science Advisor to the President and Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, will present the keynote address on day two.
