Preparing leaders across health professions

The Vermont Interdisciplinary Leadership Education for Health Professionals aims to prepare leaders across the health professions to serve children with special health needs and their families.

VT-ILEHP focus

Providing long-term, graduate level interdisciplinary training to health professionals while remembering the following:

  • Family-centered care, putting families and their concerns first.
  • Interdisciplinary training, building collaborative relationships among families, professionals and community service providers.
  • Cultural competence, recognizing, respecting, and celebrating diversity.
  • Health and disability, promoting the health and meaningful participation of all children in their communities.
  • Leadership, developing trust and communicating vision with others toward effective action and systems change.
