The original poster, Melanie Hamper, was looking for information regarding 
two tests: TABE and LAS.  Both tests are published by CTB, a division of 
McGraw-Hill, and their catalog provides useful information.  The TABE is NOT 
recommended for non-native speakers of English, even by the publishers.
