The Department of Labor MBA Fellows Program is seeking individuals with a Masters degree and business administration skills interested in exploring a career in public service and to work toward our mission to "…foster and promote the welfare of job seekers, wage earners, and retirees of the United States…"

About the DOL MBA Fellows Program

The MBA Fellows Program at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is a comprehensive, entry-level employment and career development program. Through this intensive, two-year program participants will gain the necessary skills and competencies for potential success and future advancement within the Department.

The Department of Labor's ability to successfully serve the American workforce depends on recruiting and retaining top-notch talent. The professional and personal growth of participants is fostered through a number of developmental program components:

  • Orientation
  • Rotational assignments in various DOL agencies
  • Individual Development Plan
  • Mentoring, Career Development, and Networking
  • Shadowing assignments

Applicant Characteristics

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Academic achievement and/or relevant work experience

  • Commitment to a career in public service
