AT 800 PM PDT...0300 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION HERNAN
WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 18.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 134.8 WEST OR ABOUT
1640 MILES...2640 KM...WEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA
AND ABOUT 1330 MILES...2140 KM...EAST OF HILO HAWAII.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-SOUTHWEST NEAR 9 MPH...15
KM/HR...AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF
DAYS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 35 MPH...55
KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  HERNAN SHOULD CONTINUE TO SLOWLY WEAKEN
DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
