AT 800 AM PDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION KARINA WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 20.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 114.0 WEST OR ABOUT 325
MILES...520 KM...SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 5 MPH.  A GRADUAL TURN
TOWARD THE WEST-SOUTHWEST OR SOUTHWEST IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS. 

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 30 MPH...45
KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  KARINA HAS DEGENERATED INTO A REMNANT
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AND FURTHER WEAKENING IS EXPECTED. 

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1005 MB...29.68 INCHES.

REPEATING THE 800 AM PDT POSITION...20.2 N...114.0 W.  MOVEMENT
TOWARD...WEST NEAR 5 MPH.  MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH.
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1005 MB.

CENTER ON THIS SYSTEM.
