I agree that a Pax Americana will not work. We have far too many issues within our own country to meddle with others. With that said, I still believe the war on terrorism to be a just war. And to my mind, Iraq is a factor in this war. Cheney and Wolfowitz aren't the only ones, though. Look at Bush's whole cabinet. Hell, he's even re-hired Pointdexter! It is the worst of Bush/Reagan combined. A timeline showing their histories in government would be interesting for a higher level class. > -----Original Message----- > From: nifl-esl@nifl.gov [mailto:nifl-esl@nifl.gov]On Behalf Of > AWilder106@aol.com > Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 7:59 PM > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: [NIFL-ESL:8606] RE: War as a cross-cultural issue > > > Well, maybe Joe Biden is more your cup of tea: > > "Sen.Joseph R Biden Jr. (D-Del.), attacking what he said was the > document's emphasis on unilateral action, ridiculed it as > 'literally a Pax Americana....It won't work.
