Subject: [NIFL-ESL:8905] ESL Trainng Costs

Dear Friends: A potential client who has seen my work has asked me to
estimate how much I would charge them for training. Essentially, what they
want is someone to come in and train their 20+ volunteer teachers and other
staff and administrators on how to teach language limited ESL students.
They are interested in 2 and 3 hour training modules, and want to know how
much I will charge for a 2 hour module and a 3 hour module. I have never
costed this out as a separate item before, but usually include it in a
package that my small company provides. I have extensive experience and
education in this field, so I have no qualms about the proposed project. My
only issue is what should I say I charge? And, also, is there a difference
in proposing to non-profit as opposed to for-profit clients. Can anyone
help me out here?

As always, I appreciate your help.

Thank you.

Judy
