During the unpacking process, the spacecraft was stabilized to prevent damage to the payload. Here, CALIPSO team members guide the satellite as it is moved from its shipping crate. Before the team enters into the clean room, they must change into sterilized clothing, including masks, and they must go through a vacuum chamber that sucks off the excess dust and dirt.
