The National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAR) is dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of autism spectrum disorders through biomedical research. NAAR also conducts conferences for parents and scientific working groups on issues of importance to autism research, provides fellowships to promising young scientists, and distributes educational materials. Since 1997, NAAR has committed nearly $30.2 million to fund more than 270 autism research projects directly. Fellowships are available.
