| SUBJECT: | STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-00-0173 - REMOVAL OF THE WATERTOWN MALL AREA FROM THE SITE DECOMMISSIONING MANAGEMENT PLAN |
This is to advise you that the Commission has not objected to removing the Watertown Mall Area site, in Watertown, Massachusetts, from the NRC's Site
Decommissioning Management Plan (SDMP). In the annual report on the status of the SDMP, the staff should inform the Commission of the results of the
ongoing discussions among the staff, the Department of the Army, the General Services Administration (GSA ![[EXIT]](https://webarchive.library.unt.edu/eot2008/20081014102818im_/http://www.nrc.gov/images/navigation/tag-exit.gif){kind=small}
), and the Army Corp of Engineers , regarding
whether the GSA property should be added to the existing NRC license.
