SUBJECT:	STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-01-0110 - INITIATION OF NRR-SPONSORED RULEMAKING:ASME BPV AND OM CODE CASES

The Commission has approved the staff's recommendation to proceed with rulemaking to amend 10 CFR 50.55a, "Codes and Standards," in accordance with the rulemaking plan,

Option 1, provided with SECY-01-0110. The Commission has also approved the staff's recommendation to proceed with future rulemakings to update 10 CFR 50.55a to incorporate by reference regulatory guides addressing ASME Code cases without first preparing a rulemaking plan.
