SUBJECT:	STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-01-0082 - PROPOSED LICENSE TO EXPORT LOW-ENRICHED URANIUM TO JAPAN FOR USE AS RELOAD FUEL IN THE FUGEN ADVANCED THERMAL REACTOR (APPLICATION NO. XSNM03182)

The Commission has approved issuance of a license to Framatome ANP for the export of low enriched uranium to Japan for use in the Fugen Advanced Thermal Reactor. The Commission also approved the staff issuing licenses for similar applications for the export of LEU reloads once all statutory requirements are satisfied and policy determinations are made.
