Celebrate a Restored Americans with Disabilities Act! On September 25th, President Bush signed the ADA Amendments Act into law. This important legislation broadens protections for people with disabilities and restores the intent of the original Americans With Disabilities Act. This success is the result of cooperation between business groups, disability organizations and bipartisan leadership in Congress ... and dedicated Easter Seals supporters who contacted their elected officials. View Our State-by-State Autism Services Profiles Easter Seals and the Autism Society of America have prepared profiles of autism services in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The profiles highlight the number of children with autism who have received special education services, insurance coverage for autism if available, Medicaid services specific for individuals with autism, educational programs provided to students with autism, and more. |

Responding to the Needs of Wounded Service Members and Veterans Easter Seals' Military and Veterans Initiative was formed to help meet the growing physical and mental health needs of members of the armed forces. Partnering with the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Easter Seals is providing services, information and support for service members and veterans with disabilities and their families. |
