2005 Charity ApplicationsOVERVIEWThe Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is open to all charitable organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under Title 26, United States Code, Section 501(c)(3). Applicant organizations must meet the eligibility and public accountability standards detailed in the United States Code of Federal Regulations, Title 5, Chapter 950. NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS must demonstrate that they provide or conduct real, services, benefits, assistance, or program activities in at least 15 different states or one foreign country over the three-year period preceding the campaign year to which it is applying. See Suggestions for "Attachment A" [41 KB]. DEADLINE: Applications must be received by OPM no later than 5:00pm (Eastern) Monday, January 31, 2005. Late applications will not be accepted. NOTE: OPM continues to experience significant delays with mail service associated with irradiating mail prior to its delivery to Federal offices. As a result, all organizations submitting an application are vigorously encouraged to use "next day" or "overnight delivery."
LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS must demonstrate that they have a substantial local presence in the geographic area covered by the CFC campaign, a substantial local presence in the geographic area covered by an adjacent CFC campaign, or a substantial statewide presence.
