About Us - Public Transportation to the Eastern SierraFrom RenoThe hiker/visitor who wants to reach the Eastern Sierra from Reno takes an Inyo Mono Transit bus between Reno and Bishop. To continue to Lone Pine and southern destinations, the hiker/visitor may need to transfer to a different Inyo Mono Transit bus. Inyo Mono Transit also operates buses originating in Mammoth traveling as far south as Bishop. The Reno-Bishop bus makes four round trips per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Mammoth-Ridgecrest bus makes three round trips per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Service between Bishop and Lone Pine, and between Bishop and Mammoth is available Monday through Saturday. The Ridgecrest-Mammoth bus makes three round trips per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
