Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue Department's New, Safer Uniforms

After 22 years in light blue uniforms, the Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue Department is changing its look. The dark blue outfits  “meet the most stringent requirements for flame resistance” by the National Fire Protection Association.  Each uniform has a bar code on it that links it to a specific firefighter and will cost the county $2.50 to rent.
