A new software/firmware package for the EAS 911 Encoder/Decoder has been released to incorporate a number of changes including changes in the effective dates for advanced (daylight savings) time and other enhancements for television stations needing two character generator ports.

The new software/firmware package incorporates all the features of previous versions.

This is an optional upgrade and will provide users with additional convenience and feature sets.

	Click for larger view		MODEL EAS 629 DUAL DIGITAL INSERTION UNIT Interrupts two separate AES/EBU streams and inserts an analog (L,R) or AES/EBU stream. The two sections function independently and seamlessly. A typical application is insertion of EAS information from a TFT EAS Encoder/Decoder into two separate digital program audio streams.

	Click for larger view		MODEL EAS 940A TRANSMITTER / PROGRAM INTERRUPT UNIT The Transmitter/Program Interrupt Unit allows a station’s analog audio program lines to be interrupted and the audio output form the EAS 911 to be inserted automatically. Features four separately controllable balanced audio channels with status indicators, distribution amplifier, rack mount, and XLR connectors.

	Model 2008 CAP-to-EAS Converter The EAS 2008 CAP-to-EAS Converter continuously monitors a CAP (“Common Alerting Protocol”) source to seek new emergency messages and generates an EAS protocol output for connection to existing FCC Type Certified EAS Encoder/Decoders. The unit actively polls a CAP server every few seconds for new emergency messages. Additionally the unit can receive a CAP message using Simple Object Access Protocol (“SOAP”).
