    The Chairman will open the meeting with brief opening remarks, outline the topics to be discussed, and indicate several items of interest.
2) 8:40 - 10:45 A.M. ACNW Planning and Procedures (Open) (GMH/ALL)
The Committee will discuss the items noted below.
    2.1) Commitments from the ACNW 130th meeting
2.2) Issues for the 131st ACNW meeting
2.3) Topics for February 2002 ACNW meeting
2.4) Topics for March Commission Briefing
2.5) Potential Working Group/Workshop Topics
2.6) EDO responses to Committee reports
2.7) EDO's list of future meeting topics
2.8) ACNW Calendar for 2002
2.9) DOE/BSC Meeting Status
   10:45 - 11:00 A.M.

3) 11:00 - 12:00 A.M. Proposed Amendment to 10 CFR Part 63 (Open)
(BJG/RKM)
    The staff will provide an information briefing on the proposed amendment to 10 CFR Part 63, that would clarify the types of features, events, and processes that must be considered in performance analyses of human intrusion and groundwater protection at the Yucca Mountain repository.

The Committee will discuss proposed reports on the following topics:

4.2) Annual Research Report to the Commission (GMH/RPS)
4.3) Proposed Amendment to 10 CFR Part 63 (BJG/RKM)
4.4) Conservatism (BJG/LSH)

The Chairman will make opening remarks regarding the conduct of today's sessions.
7) 8:35 - 5:00 P.M.  Discussion of Key Technical Issue (KTI) Status (Open) (All)
(12:00-1:00 P.M. LUNCH) The Committee will be briefed on the status of the KTIs for the proposed repository at Yucca Mountain, NV.
8) 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. Miscellaneous (Open)
The Committee will discuss matters related to the conduct of Committee activities and matters and specific issues that were not completed during previous meetings, as time and availability of information permit.

  • Presentation time should not exceed 50 percent of the total time allocated for a specific item. The remaining 50 percent of the time is reserved for discussion.
  • Thirty-Five (35) copies of the presentation materials should be provided to the ACNW.
  • ACNW meeting schedules are subject to change. Presentations may be canceled or rescheduled to another day. If such a change would result in significant inconvenience or hardship, be sure to verify the schedule with Mr. Howard Larson at 301-415-6805 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., several days prior to the meeting.
