Sparling and Co-Authors Publish Paper "Pesticides and Amphibian Population Declines in California, USA"

The paper "Pesticides and Amphibian Population Declines in California, USA" by D.W. Sparling, G.M. Fellers and L.L. McConnell, has just been published in Enivronmental Toxicology and Chemistry, vol. 20 (7): 1591-1595. The paper clearly indicates that pesticides from the Central Valley of California are getting into and having an effect on amphibians in the Sierra Nevada Mountains where several species are in sharp decline. After the last ARMI meeting a press release was issued on the findings of this study and generated considerable media attention. A similar flurry of attention may occur again with the publication of this paper.
