Albers, Heinz and Ohlendorf are Editors of Environmental Contaminants and Terrestrial Vertebrates Book Released at SETAC Environmental Contaminants and Terrestrial Vertebrates: Effects on Populations, Communities, and Ecosystems. Peter H. Albers, Gary H. Heinz, and Harry M. Ohlendorf, editors. Special Publication of SETAC Press, 344 p. This book was released by SETAC Press in November 2000 at the annual SETAC meeting in Nashville, TN. It is the result of a symposium of the same title held at the University of Maryland in 1998. The book consists of 10 chapters written by presenters at the symposium and three chapters conveying the reports of discussion groups. The purpose of the symposium was to review and critically evaluate our understanding of the effects of contaminants on terrestrial vertebrates at levels of organization above that of the individual. Two of the presented chapters and two of the group-report chapters were coauthored by USGS-Patuxent Wildlife Research Center scientists (Albers, Heinz, Rattner, Cohen, Golden (U.
