Program Description
The SCMed6 MRC was created to locally organize and utilize volunteers who want to donate their time and expertise to promote healthy living and to prepare for and respond to emergencies. The SCMed6 MRC is being developed to assist Georgetown, Horry, and Williamsburg Counties. This unit is recruiting members for its MRC through meetings with potential partners, mailings, health fairs, and other community gatherings. South Carolina Area Health Education has partnered with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control to develop a core curriculum based on the suggested MRC core competencies.
