The worldwide impact of a simultaneous reduction in Arctic sea-ice and considerable warming of the Arctic over the past 20 years is the topic of NASA's next Earth Science Update.

The Update is Thursday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m. EDT in the NASA Headquarters James Webb Auditorium, 300 E Street SW, Washington.

NASA TV will carry the program live with two-way question-and- answer capability for reporters covering the event from participating agency centers. NASA TV is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.
