About this Organization

NASA SEMAA Chicago (Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Aerospace Academy) is a K-12 program that engages underrepresented and underserved students in unique STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) program educational activities using NASA created educational materials and missions. This year, NASA SEMAA Chicago is providing mentoring to Chicago Public School FIRST LEGO League teams. Puzzle Power, the 2007-2008 LEGO League challenge is allowing students to learn about energy and the best ways to harness the power of renewable energy sources. As part of our committment to the community, NASA SEMAA mentored FLL teams are asking family, friends, and the greater Chicagoland community at large to take action in reducing our energy use by taking the pledge to Change a Light, Change the World. We invite you to be part of our goal to increase energy awareness in our community and make a difference in the world for our children's future.
