About this Organization
Thaxton Elem. NEED Team is a group of 9,10,11,and 12 year old students,that participate in eneregy conservation projects in their school and in their community.After school, these students learn various energy conservation ideas and go into the various classroom to teach other students.Some of our community projects include Energy Fair with ACEP/Virginia Tech,radio announcements on local station,energy tips on grocery bags for local grocery stores,donate monies from collected can tabs to Ronald McDonald House(home away from home for families with very sick children or relatives in the hospital),donate monies from cartridges and cell phones recycling to
