USAID Partner Organizes Moscow Education Rally
On May 31, over 200 people participated in a rally organized by USAID partner Perspektiva, to raise awareness about inclusive education in Russia. Rally participants promoted the idea that all children regardless of their physical, intellectual and other needs, should have the opportunity to study alongside their peers at mainstream schools. Perspektiva, a Russian NGO for disability rights, organized the event with support from USAID and the Moscow City Duma’s Committee on Science and Education. Over 400 signatures were collected supporting a declaration of equal rights to education and will be submitted to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
